Haiku Waterfall Poem by Matthew Holloway

Haiku Waterfall

And here find ourselves
Contemplating once again
The art of poems

Short lines do connect
The begining to the end
Just for the reader

A king sits on high
Watching down upon the world
He once created

A drunk speaks aloud
Though now care to listen to
The story he tells

We find ourselves here
Beneath life's own waterfall
Speaking metaphors

With great care and thought
The craft is undertaken
To write out a toast

We all see beauty
Embrace the artist within
Free that unspoken

Now I bring you here
Beneath Haiku waterfall
Counting syllables
