Happiness Lost Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Happiness Lost

Rating: 5.0

When happiness is lost we grieve and wail
Sorrowing for souls met and loved
Remembering lands travelled with friends
Sharing joys, sorrows, supporting each other
Facing the days with hope and resolution
Seeking for the land of milk and honey
Promised to followers of the man from Nazareth
Crucified, crowned with thorns, dying.
Happiness is never appreciated until gone
When tears fall and the heart in torment grieves.
We move questioning between birth and death
Time passing swiftly hard pressing the days
Happiness fleeting, making us yearn for yesterday
Again delighting in joy with those we loved.
