Happy Thanksgiving '21 Poem by Laquory Jones

Verse 1:
Tomorrow's Thanksgiving Holiday
It has me feeling some type of way
It's the time of giving thanks
Kneeling down as I give my grace
So much weighing heavily within my
Mental space all these years that
Seems to be passing by as of late
When things gets too much upon
The plate just bow your head &
Keep your faith thou shall never
Waver or shake take everything
Head on head strong is what we're on
That's words to my mom

Chorus:
So go ahead and state your grace
Don't be afraid of giving thanks
Go right that wrong
Be thankful for all your friends
Family too just another year
That you all made it through
These moments are rare and few
Believe me it's true
So this what I say to you
'Happy Thanksgiving
And Happy Holidays
May God bless all of your days

I find myself waking up in the breaking
Of the dawn as it shines over the lawn
Thinking back to the Thanksgivings
Where people would congregate and
Meet and didn't have to worry about
Anything that wasn't that long ago
Lately we've toil upon some weary roads
But it brought us all here
I was blinded at first but now it's all
Crystal clear we can't be driven by fear
That's words to hold dear as I lay my
Truth to my friends I'm thankful for all
That you do as we head to the year '22

There wasn't anything that we couldn't
Weather as long we had each other
Now you're all on to greener pastures
And better endeavors
But we'll always be together
Birds of a feather burning leather

Just walk those river banks
While throwing rocks at the ocean's sea-floor
Look at each other and promise to
Love that much more because
Love's a beautiful thing and
Love is too strong to ignore
