Hardly Matters Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Hardly Matters

Hardly matters

It matters less
if there is no trace of
love and its essence
it shall always make you tense

life is turning materialistic
and making us forget basic things
you put on rich cloths
and lack the human depth

it doesn't matter
you eat delicious food and still suffer from hunger
you look elegant
but remain ignorant

it is not your attire
that puts in satire
but your attitude gets admired
and you are honoured

what matters!
if you eat simple food
and think about what has been understood understood
it is always good for you and for the humanity

make a grand show of your belongings
but stay as an excellent human being
it shall add to your personality
besides your face shall present an elegant show with the dignity
