Have i ever told you
of the sparkle in your eyes?
Or how the tears you shed
turn to silk when you cry?
Have i ever told you
you're like a weeping willow
of charm and grace
With a sobering beauty
Plainly seen in your face?
Have I ever told you
of the stars that echoe your name
Or how your sullen smiles
can calm the oceans tame?
How about the way
the color of your hair
is the summer sun's delight
and how even your soft lips
can swoon the tallest trees
by night?
These are some of the reasons
I have come to make my claim
on the stakes of all these things
that serve your endless fame.
Vincent.. this reads beautifully, it flows with the grace that your words carry. Annette
Thank you Seamus, you are kind, but I read your pens searching for the formula you seem to have...I'm a little jealous but a huge fan
Stirring and lyrical tribute to true beauty. Tears turning to silk is just wondrous imagery. Delightfully 10+. :) S
To me it is intriguing… it seems that the beauty of your lady has tamed a heart of a poet guy… hehe… May be then, she is very beautiful… and hey! You might have forgot to tell her… utter this poem now ok? You can tell it face to face in a loud and clear manner… :)
