Have You Had Enough Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Have You Had Enough

Have you had enough...
Pain.
And have you had enough...
Of this to not gain,
A healthy sanity to have it...
Yours to claim.

Have you had enough,
Of people in denial.
And have you had enough...
Of those who love to lie.
Living to invent it mentioned,
When tomorrow comes...
Sorrows that they now have,
Were not theirs to recycle.

Have you had enough...
Of alibis to hear them.
And have you had enough...
Judgements passed to placed,
On others.
Coming out the mouths,
That should stay shut closed.

Have you had enough...
Of the many in denial.
And have you had enough...
Of those naysayers selling lies.
With a doing to do it,
And sold to others satisfied.

Have you had enough...
Pain.
And have you had enough...
Of this to not gain,
A healthy sanity to have it...
Yours to claim.
