He Marches Poem by Jessica Elizondo

He Marches

He marches and looks around.
Bodies that hit the ground.
Terror all around.
He marches.

A gun in his hand
Protecting this land
I fear for him and
I pray for his saftey

He's a great friend that I'll never forget
I can't imagine what he sees,
I don't want to know.
I just want him to never go.

He helped me out when I was down
But he leaves and a tear slides down my face.
I pray so hard
for his safe return

He marches blood soaked boots and
fatigues to match.
War is in his mind
as enimies clash.

Come home saftley I pled
For if I didn't have your friendship
Then my heart will bleed.

Dedicated to a friend I met on poem hunter. Thank you Matt and I give my best wishes to you and Clarissa. stay strong and never give up. that goes to the both of you. And thank you Matt for protecting this land, its just a shame that the country can't protect it another way.

Sincerely,

~Jessica Elizondo~
