He Poked Fun At Those Pretentious Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

He Poked Fun At Those Pretentious

Shakespeare wasn't the first writer,
Playwrite or poet...
Defamed for his insights.
Or criticized for his distaste,
For the wasteful lives lived...
By those of royalty.
Or the corruptedness of political thinkers.
They declared his shenanigans were 'great'.
The way he poked fun at those pretentious!
Today?
He would be censored,
Daring to exist AND be relevant!
