Healing Poem by Irene C S ClarkHogg

Healing

Rating: 5.0

The asylum looks so stark and bare,
But still a shade is drifting there.
She is haunted by secrets from the past,
Though she has gained her freedom at last.

I detect the sadness in her eyes,
Which means that it is no surprise
To find part of her spirit stays;
To seek the meaning of those days.

Far away, in a different town,
A beautiful girl has settled down:
To build a new dream, a life without fear,
And the shade can eventually disappear.

So, when love helps her gain control,
This wonderful spirit can be whole.
