Hear Me Say! Poem by Manisha Malani

Hear Me Say!

Like the changing seasons, I change
A day of giggles and a day of pain
An eye with grief, the other in glee
An eye with mischief the other in revenge!

Mirror like face of mine, reflects what is within
The struggle, the hurt, the longing, the grudge
I hide, I try, I wander with the mask so false
Living yet not living I wished I would live awhile!

Love I lend and keep waiting for it to return
It comes back at times but in proportions that differ,
I yell, I shout, I ask, though nothing of it is heard
So incomplete, so alone and still a part of the cluster! !
