As my heart begins its praise
Silenced by the worth of it
For Thou knowest all my ways
Your Spirit and I rejoicing
My God how great Thou art
For You can take the vilest of men
And forgive each repent heart

When my heart is in distress
Filled still with the joy of You
And your great faithfulness
For I know You'll never leave me
For Your Word gives surety

As it gives praises back to Thee
