He Wrought Grace Poem by Gary James Smith

He Wrought Grace

He Wrought Grace

He wrought grace and Righteousness
In His work upon the Cross
Satisfied God's just demands
Christ's life was not a loss
Love that covered all of our sin
Was stretched out there that day
And bore the full guilt of all of our sin
What price that He had to pay

We take so lightly Calvary's Cross
Where our precious Redeemer died
To give us eternal life and a hope
That shall never ever die
The joy He instilled in forgiveness
The peace that He placed in my heart
How could I from this loving Saviour
Ever have want to depart

He has won my admiration
He's become my Jubilee
To think that I might have missed His Salvation
And not thought about Calvary
Praise You heavenly Father
For the Expression of Heaven You've sent
In the form of a living man
The Lord Jesus's life was lent

And live He did Hallelujah
He took His sinless life to the Cross
And laid it down in absolute obedience
For the glory of the Cross
Everything else pales in significance
For He is the life giving One
Hallelujah for the Father...the Spirit...and Hallelujah for the Son! ! !

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
