'' Hear Our Views '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' Hear Our Views ''

Out for a drive,
I felt so alive,
Why does racism thrive?
Feel the bruise.

This just didn't sit,
Didn't like it one bit,
I refused to quit,
Lit a fuse.

This wasn't right,
No, I'll not be contrite,
I will put up a fight,
Don't accuse.

They were being aloof,
So, I hit the roof,
They don't need proof?
Feel the blues.

My argument's strong,
I didn't do wrong,
So why the throng,
To abuse.

It's a form of stealth,
Against our mental health,
If ignorance is wealth?
I can't choose.

It's all of the time,
We're treated like grime,
We've a mountain to climb,
Fake the news.

We will not live in fear,
Let us make it clear,
Despite forcing us here,
We'll not lose.

Being under attack,
We will never crack,
It's a crime to be black?
You confuse.

Equality for all,
Is easy to install,
Listen to our call.
Don't bemuse.

Our people they clatter,
Our bloods they splatter,
Black lives do matter,
