Heard To Hear Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Heard To Hear

A need for unity to progress.
Are words to hear.
From many who agree.
Yet those who move forward,
With less words to speak.
As they work to prove,
Progress takes action.
And less mouths to move.
Try to ignore those words they hear,
"What are they seeking?
Attention to get? "

And that need for unity to progress,
Are left on deaf ears to leave behind.
By those who find such words,
Meaningless and a waste of time.
To later hear it said,
"Those who move forward...
Are selfish.
Only to think of themselves."

And that to hear to realize it clear,
Are words heard to hear..
Coming from those who agree,
A criticizing others to do successfully...
Is a repeating of a unity,
Kept to keep recognized to identify...
As their way to accept,
Progress to have made!
