Hearing To What Is Not Said Heard Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Hearing To What Is Not Said Heard

Teaching.
Is a learning experience,
To listen.
With a hearing words heard.
Instead of perceiving to believe,
What was not said had been meant.
Leaving too many left to assume,
Steps taken to achieve success...
Is done without tests to fail.

Until...
Words heard to hear repeatedly,
Teaches one to listen.
To others who have recovered,
From disappointments and mistakes made.

Experiencing eventually,
Assuming anything to do it...
Seldom benefits or satisfies,
One losing patience...
To another once to give.
Listening to hear the proof,
Of a nonsense allowed...
Coming out of a mouth.
Too obvious and made clear,
The process of learning to listen...
Has been slow to add more,
To this list.
