Heart Misses Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Heart Misses

I can
No longer bear the pain
As I get wet in rain
Get lost like statue and remain

I raise face
To find you in any case
But fail each time in access
Eyes fail miserably to trace

I am thirsty
And pray an almighty
To provide water
From the flow of the river

It doesn’t quench the thirst
But insist
To put in more efforts
To reach in time at port

Heart
Aches in part
Sometimes miss the beat
But prepare always to meet

This reminds me of the constant fight against odds and to continue struggle for reaching one's port. Nice poetry. Thanks. I quote: To put in more efforts To reach in time at port
