In the calm of the night,
As I lay down to rest,
My thoughts turn to you,
For you were the best,
Through the skylight I see,
The stars in the sky,
My mind won't switch off,
There are tears in my eyes,
It's your gentle voice,
That I long to hear,
To tell me your fine,
That you'll always be near,
That one day I'll see you,
When we'll walk hand in hand,
Far from this place,
In a heavenly land.
