Beyond the evening calling
there is a lonely heart
looking for the summers light.
As its voice is raised,
help me make it through the night.
The dawn brings a new day
with its morning bright
and the lonely heart
is crying out of sight,
help me make it through the night.
Loneliness torments
a lonely heart aching
and the wind carries
its sorrowful voice,
help me make it through the night.
