Her Kohl-Lined Eyes Poem by Freeyad Ibrahim

Her Kohl-Lined Eyes

by Freeyad Ibrahim

I have seen no face as pure and radiant as her face
I must soon meet her, write her in this case

The room is as narrow as man can imagine
Love needs much more in this case in place

I dare not open my heart to her no where
In her presence I have always lack of phrase

It is impossible to talk to her in her workplace
Home will her husband react in her place

Maybe she is not married I put her on my breast
Or hug her even if she resists, patience in love is disgrace

Could it ever be I took a free long look at Nuha's kohl-lined eyes
Or tenderly & softly hug her in my warm romantic embrace

At this moment I must just wait as long as she is married
Is it not disgrace to pray that a catastrophe him erase

May god help me for I've been long sleepless
The one-sided craziness to her Oryx eyes brought me to disgrace

She is much younger than I used to be.. I am insecure
Whether I shall begin to approach her of withdraw in grace

I do not desire her body nor her breast nor her buttocks
Only if she lets me two times a day my lips on her eyes place

If I withdraw, I am afraid to lose my sane in recklessness
If I go forth, I am worried so much to lose my grace

O my god I am finally fallen into an abyss of deadly romance
Withdrawing is fatal, going on is definitely disgrace
