Her Scattered Shadow! Poem by Jawad Aldyab

Her Scattered Shadow!

Rating: 5.0

On the dark nights, I saw a monster,
And then I wondered if that were my shadow,
Nobody can trust shadows even in the light.

That's my way to live on our suspicious life,
Could anyone tell me how to survive?
Or where the salvation lies?

In my neighborhood, I feel scared,
Even in my room, the plants are dead.

Does that smile mean no harm?
Or is it just as though evil sight?

All these concerns were my traits
And then, they turned out to be fakes.

Shadows in the night can be a scary thing. A great poem.
