Her Scent Is Lavender Poem by Daya Nandan

Her Scent Is Lavender

Rating: 5.0

Jet black hair and a pretty smile,
A feeling within me that tells me it is worthwhile,
Her scent of lavender that intoxicates me fast,
Her sweet voice that tells me this is meant to last,

Her aroma is lavender, so pleasing to my senses,
inebriating to my soul that it tears down all my fences,
She is so addictive, that i have to practice restraint,
For her scent can make me lose myself and quickly faint,

The scent of lavender reminds me of her so well,
It is as if she has me chained under her spell,
i become so helpless yet so relaxed with a smile,
For her scent of lavender knocks me out in style,

But soon i figured out that i had the fragrance wrong,
How could lavender have an effect that was so strong,
A chemist i hired told me that it was actually chloroform,
That was the scent that has taken my entire body and mind by storm,

Her fragrance is chloroform, finally i know,
With a scent that can knock me out in a single blow,
i realised that it was not her scent i was addicted to all this while,
It was her genuinely gorgeous beautiful smile.
