Heraclitus Fr.36
(36. It is death to souls to become water, and it is death to water to become earth. Conversely, water comes into existence out of earth, and souls out of water.)

Human hours human raindrops fall
Onto roofs of thoughts like a rainy thought
Human hours think down the walls of thought
Painting them by rain human thoughts down fall
The first the second stroke of all human swimming
Human thoughts count human hours drop
The soil will absorb them to water the tree cross
The roots will absorb them to open the treetops
Treetop heads beyond the soil to the cloud of hours
Climber hands up the wall all towards the roof
Human thoughts of human rains
‘Neath the sky will vanish
Humid pregnant soul
‘Neath the rains will plunge
‘Neath herself amidst the drop
Human soul will get old

(Dušama je smrt da postanu voda, a vodi smrt da postanu zemlja. Pa ipak, od zemlje postaje voda, a od vode duša)

Ljudski sati kaplju kao kišne kapi
Po krovovima misli kao kišne misli
Ljudski sati misle zidovima misli
Kišom zid kad slikaju ljudske misli slivaju
Zamah prvi drugi sveg plivanja ljudskog
Površinom neba u oblake prolazne
Ljudske misli broje ljudski sati kaplju
Upiće ih zemlja krst rvo da zaliju
Upiće ih korjen krošnje da se otvore
Krošnje glave iznad zemlje ka oblaku sata
Pizavice ruke uz zid pa do krova
Ljudske misli ljudskih kiša
Podno neba ispariće
Duše vlažne bremenite
Podno kiša potonuće
Usred kapi podno sebe
Ljudska duša ostariće
