Hiding Hopes Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Hiding Hopes

Still and quiet, soul reverberating within with peace
of the Lord, holding onto His love and mercy.

Touching the Divine through a bluened light, not hear-
ing or seeing anything or anyone around me.

Preferring it this way, not wanting to hear negativity
coming from anyone.

Hiding hopes beneath my pillow, knowing they will be used
to accord a miracle when God is ready to give it.

That last stanza where you explain the meaning of the title ismso wonderful! It does so manythings: It shows how a virtue likem hope must be nurtured and sheltered, that is, them himanwho will be gifted byGod must participatemin themprocess. It shows an intimacy between God and a human believer. There is a special actof faith ocurring as thwe speaker sleeps above the HIDDEN HOPE: it's like a participation inthe divinelife which is so ordinary and intimate it could easilym be overlooked. But that won't happen when a person is imbuedm with BLUENED LIGHT within and without.
