High Living Poem by Kewayne Wadley

High Living

I've tasted the throb of your heart in a dream,
For I am scared to fall asleep,
I don't want to leave you alone for a single second,
Surrounded by darkness,
Suggestions made unconscious as night still hasn't fallen,
To the eyes that see light soon as they open,
I don't have that kind of time to waste,
To picture the look of your voice,
To embody the print of your face,
I am blind, not knowing if your truly there or not,
The dark of your eyes lit up by the light of the universe,
While my head is softly afloat on a pillow,
This isn't living, not without you here
Not without you in my arms,
Does life give anything in return,
