Highlighter Invention Poem by Walterrean Salley

“Highlighters” are a blessing;
And a fine invention.
They save a lot of headaches
Highlighting our intentions.

They’re in all sort of colors:
Orange, yellow, pink and green.
They’re among the things most helpful
That I have ever seen.

I’m sure we’ve all used them
At some time or another.
They make lovely gifts
To share with one another.

To the inventor of the highlighter,
I would like to say:
Thanks for your “idea, ”
Which helps save the day.
