Hindsight Poem by Dorsey Baker

Hindsight

Rating: 5.0

The old man is back in the hospital again
This time it is going to be a very long stay
His legs don't work too good no more
His heart don't beat very strong his mind wanders a lot
The nurses come into the room
They bring him a blanket
Because the room is icy cold
They put him in the wheel chair
Roll him out of the room down a very long hallway
More tests
More shots more misery
Now I think I can see why being full of sickness
And being very old
Can change someone's outlook on life
A bleak night a bleak morning
