Hiraeth Poem by Rommel Galicia

Hiraeth

Rating: 4.8

Did you not hear my plea?
I'm here all alone crying out
This heart of mine feels heavy
Only your comfort I've sought.

Where are you? I am in sore.
My deliverance of your presence
Is all that I am earnestly longing for
I can't withstand your evanescence.

Will I just live and believe in love?
When I feel the wind and hear its gush,
It's your warmth and heart's lub dub
That allay me and let the pain pass?

Will I just be here from afar all alone?
Waiting for a time you and I to unite
In an endless road of love to hold on
A home I long and not only a respite?

st.2 " evanescent : tending to vanish like vapor" You can't " withstand" OR " stand" it? " hiraeth" ..." implies the meaning of missing a time, an era, or a person - including homesickness for what may not exist any longer." " allay transitive verb To calm or pacify (an emotion): set to rest" Last stanza: an English-language-oncologist might help here. he or she or it is missed! : ( Bri :)

Well expressed thoughts and feelings nicely brought forth in verse with rhythmic splendour. Very heartfelt with strong emotions. Thanks for sharing, Galicia.
