Poet's Notes about The Poem

These few words came to mind after a situation took place and knocked me off my feet. I was uplifted far beyond my expectations. My best friend was hospitalized and we were all gathered in her hospital room day by day. I vowed to the doctor that she would never be alone and it wasn't necessary for anyone from the hospital to have to sit with her, we would take care of all of that along with her dedicated husband. He totally depended on me and I did nothing without consulting him but one day my friend and I spent some quality time together and it was then I asked her if it was possible once she passed over to come back and communicate with me would she do it. She smiled so beautifully and shook her head as she spoke the words yes I will and that was all that was said in the regard, we merely continued talking about other things. My friend passed a few days later and after all of the arrangements were made for her cremation, we decided to hold a celebration of life a couple of weeks later. I was still standing by her husbands side almost like glue, he called for every little thing he needed done and I took good care of him and stayed in touch with the children as well. They asked me if I would take care of the celebration and I did that as well. On the day of the celebration, we were running a little late waiting for one more guest, I was getting anxious as the hall was full and people were waiting. I told my friends husband, I'll only wait 15 more minutes and then I'm walking up and getting started, he nodded ok. At that moment I felt very weak and almost fell over, I exclaimed ouuuu loud and took a deep breath, he asked, are you ok and I said without thinking she's here, she's here, his facial expression was amazing he was in shock but one could see he was happy too. I then felt my feet become very warm and that warmth moved up my body, I began to wail and I shook uncontrolably. He grabbed me to console me and I kept crying, he squeezed me and at that point I began to understand what was taking place. It seemed like a long time but I'm sure it wasn't, at that moment also my friends cousin was standing by us but she seemed almost frozen and to this day I don't know if she recalls the situation, no one else does only me and her husband. I proceeded after awhile to walk to the front to begin the celebration and while walking it felt like I was walking on a cloud, I couldn't feel the floor beneath me. When I reached the front I walked to end of the seats where the family was sitting, this was not my plan. I then began to jump and jump high yelling out loud, it's a celebration, repeat after me, it's a celebration and all the guests repeated those words. I walked to the middle of the room and began our speeches. She promised to come but I had no idea she would take over and get things started with a blast like that and the delightful thing is she was able to give her husband one last embrace. Well that's the reason for my tiny poem...Thank you for reading this long explanation...Melvina.....

Having new light alert for self realization and spiritual mind explores life taking towards Divinity. Few lines still speak about deep meaning which lengthens the limit of light in to infinite proceeding. Walking in path of spirituality matters a lot to fill rays of wisdom in mind. A nice poem shared. Excellent...10 (Report) Reply
