Hollow Poem by M.J. Lemon

Hollow

Rating: 5.0

Building without foundation
courts ruination
action without rumination
saps elation
a wall and window
stand erect hollow
but what do i know
thinking winds blow
doors and floors
hit me to the core
I'll never leave this place

Anything life throws at
me I can face
believing
thinking
clinging
to you and you

Thank you so much, Savita. And I agree about our remarkable ability to roll with whatever strikes.

2) cont'd: M.J., I love every thing about this poem, especially the line: 'thinking winds blow'. Couldn't help but think about Dylan when reading that masterful phrase. Par excellence!

Thank you so much for these comments, Richard. I was thinking about the 60s when I started this poem, Your ability to pick up on the subtle things is just amazing, my friend!

Had Bob Dylan not left his home town, would he have become so famous? Ditto for so many artistes! Food for thought, my friend!
