Aisha Johnson

Home - Poem by Aisha Johnson

If I was asked to speak of the place I call my home
My words would speak of warmth, comfort, and love

A house filled with laughter,
Perhaps occasional fights

But love nonetheless
Shines in all our eyes

As we children grow,
More stories form

More stains on the carpet
More memories grow

The pictures on the walls increase
The postcards fill up the door

The family increases,
One child, then another

The love is spread across each member

If I was to describe my home,
It would be just one word: Family
