Homecoming Poem by Miraj Raha

Homecoming

I cleared the snow, tantalizing me
to look beyond the window pane.
The clouds tell a different story today.
A story of reunion, of hope.
Outside the rain whisper the song of change.
All these years have tested my devotion to my country,
but now is the time of fulfillment of the much awaited promise.
The birds sing in quiet harmony with the wallowing wind.
An aura of satisfaction emanate from the gentle Sun.
carefree butterflies adorn my garden.
when the meadows came alive with a known figure,
His return at last, to escape into a paradise, he calls Home.
