There is something sinister
Within this system feel it stir
Around you, you're unwelcome
Creating life to take away
The will of those that wont obey
The sleepers, that surround you
If death could speak it would convey
That this life here's illusory
The luxury, in a losing game
Gaining wisdom on the way
Forgetting what it means to say
I love you, but you're not worthy
In the mirror there's a face
You touch to feel but can't embrace
This image, That's before you
Cause beauty lies in tragedy
You want the truth but you can't see it
Without my lies...
This is a great triplet! There is a subtle sadness in its tone; especially in the fourth stanza. A poem about life, about self-discovery, a poem of contrasts: life-death, truth-lie. I was pondering at the line -The luxury, in a losing game - very well thought, and very well written. Great!
