Honey Poem by Freeyad Ibrahim

Honey

By Freeyad Ibrahim

I'll do everything in my power
To relieve you my decent flower

I was sad you made me happy
I was weak you gave me power

My tears are raining bitterly now
Bathing in my tears, like taking a shower

Without you, one hour is a week
With you, one week is an hour

You are much smaller being afar
Beside me you are high as a tower

If you give me no smell, no scent,
why should I carry a flower?

With you everything I eat is honey
All my honey, without you, turns sour

I built a tower of hope before me
Nothing on earth can HOPE devour!
