Hopes And Dreams Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Hopes And Dreams

Rating: 5.0

If only to travel back in time,
to those wonderful days.
A childhood filled with energy and fun,
Mixed with sunshine and laughter,
all rolled into one.
To see my beautiful mother,
standing at our door,
waiting patiently, for my return once more.
To go back to that place where i so loved to play,
surrounded by bluebells,
So blessed everyday.
For that was my place of hopes and dreams,
A blanket of loveliness,
near the trickling stream.
If only to enter that portal to the past,
to a time filled with memories,
It truly was a blast!
Recollections of summer,
that don't fade away,
When we were together,
Back in the day.

If only we could travel back to those days of our childhood that were so free and innocent. Beautiful poem! Thank you so much for sharing!
