Hoping This Is Felt Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Hoping This Is Felt

When I write,
I think of you.
And how better I can communicate,
The way I feel.
Hoping this is felt,
From my honest point of view.

Not seeking to offend.
Or become defensive if you disagree.
I just want us to clearly see,
We both are here to experience humanity.

Even though some days are not as great,
To appreciate and express this.
When neither one of us is in that mood,
For proving we can overcome an attitude.
We can not force it to leave.
Until that mood moves on.

Slow as possible.
To do at times to find it done,
As if awaiting for an argument over nothing...
Started to prolong a love for wrong to permit.
To later attempt to excuse with an explanation.
