Hornets (Loyal To A Cause) Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Hornets (Loyal To A Cause)

I am in no position.
To call anyone a corrupted thief.
Or a lieing paid under the table politician.
Nor would I have the audacity to say,
With it publicly to state...
That amongst us there exist,
Religious zealots that are hypocrites.
No.
I am in no position to do this.
To be the one to hear this from.
However,
Anologies I can make.
With them made to suggest.
Hornets are like people.
When it comes to protecting their nests.
And will sting anyone.
Who dares to undermine and disturb beliefs.
Regardless of who it may be that disagrees.
And will buzz themselves up.
Just to make known.
They could care less of the consequences to pay.
Just as long as they remain staying,
Loyal to a cause...
They have committed themselves to obey.
Doing it to be ruthless, truthless.
And without a scent of cuth to approve it done.
