How Can We Say Goodbye, Lovelynne?
It is hard to say goodbye
To a wonderful woman
Mother, wife, daughter
Niece, cousin and friend
Who knew no other joy than
To love and serve her family
To please everyone with a
Heartwarming smile and
To sing with all her heart.
She is gone unexpectedly
Like a shooting star
That blazed across the sky
Only to go away
In just a blink of an eye
Gone is that beautiful woman
With a silvery voice
And captivating eyes
So full of joy and innocence.
How could I not remember
Those numerous visits
Everytime you see me
You sang beautiful songs for me
And on summer days
You were always in Manila
To be with us
You made our days brighter
By your love and laughter.
Oh, how can we say goodbye
We miss that little twinkle
That used to light up your eyes
The sound of your beautiful voice
Your laughter and cheerful
Disposition in life
And most of all
Your heart of gold
That has more than enough love
To go around to everybody.
Yes, death has taken you
To the other side
Where a beautiful beginning
Takes place in the Kingdom of God
And from the time you are in that
Wonderful place
Our world will definitely change
Your three beautiful children
Will grow older but they will realize
How a great mother you were
And they will remember your
Sacrifices in building
A beautiful family.
Thank you, Lovelynne
For all the good things
You have done
Thank you for the love
You showered to everyone.
We will see you again someday
But for now
We will hold you in our hearts
With the best memories of you
You left so soon
But you created a
Beautiful footprint
That lingers until eternity....

These heartfelt poems always bring intense memories, for me the endearing memories are of my grandmother, my father's mother who died over thirty years ago while I was overseas, are still the most precious memories. We never said goodbye, we parted with a simple inadequate until we meet again.
