How Come We Cannot Be Poem by Francis Duggan

How Come We Cannot Be

How come we cannot be kinder to our black brothers and sisters since they are our equals in every way
The soul in a good person is always a good soul despite what the negative racists does say
Equality to it does not have a colour it is something you know of but never can see
The town's poorest person is not equal to the town wealthiest though in a fair Human World this is not how it would be

Racism to it does not have a colour there are dark skinned people who are racist to those born white
In thisage it is not a rare thing that racists post their views on many ansite
Humanity would be far better off without racists but sadly their numbers are not of the few
But in the World there too are many good and non racist people and this is not saying anything that is new

If everybody respected all others and did not judge people for their race or colour or creed
Humanity it would be the big winner and the World for everyone would be better to live in indeed
This is not so and to say is a sad thing that racism Worldwide is on the rise
But there too are many who look on all people as equal and this is a good thing for to realize

How come we cannot be kinder to each other since we are all brothers and sisters black, white and brown
We should learn to love and respect each other and not on each other see fit to look down
Why be prejudiced to those wo are different to you if to you they are not even known
Like as is said learn to live and let liveand pay respect to where it is due and to each their own.
