How Lucky I Am Poem by Jaishree Nair

How Lucky I Am

Rating: 5.0

Frustrated I felt
when I could not find the matching slippers
to go with my designer wear
Then I saw a kid walking barefoot
And realised how lucky I was!

Frustrated I felt
when the dishes I ordered
could not satisfy my palate
Then I saw a boy
rummaging the garbage for a mouthful
And realised how lucky I was!

Frustrated I felt
when I saw the outdatedinteriors
and wished to refurnish my home
Then I saw a mother and newborn
sleeping on the footpath
And realised how lucky I was!

My frustrationsturned to gratitude
to be in the golden book
of God's most favoured ones!

Hi Jaishree, We are all lucky to be in the golden book of almighty. However, we do always complain on what we do not have. Instead, we should be happy and contended with what we have. We also should share what we can with the have-nots. Good muse Jaishree.. A full 100++
