Just An Ordinary Class Room Poem by Jaishree Nair

Just An Ordinary Class Room

Rating: 5.0

Just an ordinary class room,
the ground floor room,
to the extreme west
of a cbse affiliated nest.

A total of nineteen,
each with varied uniqueness seen;
their hallmark innocence and trust,
mischiefs and silly pranks every days must.

Their world was the class room,
the ordinary class room,
kindness was dissolved in their bones;
respect was in their tones.

Leading them into the world of literature was hell,
but the ultimate transformation was swell,
fiction and classic made no difference to them,
Wordsworth and Shakespeare was beyond comprehension to them

Faithful to the very core,
honest all the more,
pranks they played plenty,
sweet headaches they created many.

Their progress was slow but definite
comprehension intertwined with doubts infinite;
obvious reasoning and intellectual responds-
created everlasting bonds.

They secured a place in our hearts-
mentors, gurus and counterparts,
a bond of eternity;
more thicker than fraternity!

Pain to watch them leave the hub,
but leave they must to join the club
and make future robust;
and create history foremost.

It pricks my heart
to enter the class room smart;
devoid of the nineteen-
The senior secondary batch of two thousand fifteen

May god help them to acquire-
strength to achieve their hearts desire,
cause in their success lies our triumph-
and in their failure -our defeat!

Their world was the class room, the ordinary class room, kindness was dissolved in their bones; respect was in their tones. And the class room you painted is a lovely unit of the greatest class room. A beautiful poem........10

Very interesting poem. I was drawn to the title because I used to be a teacher. I did not understand the fourth line: of a cbse affiliated nest. What does CBSE mean?
