Hudhud Poem by Kavya .
Hudhud
HUDHUD, the very severe cyclonic storm
The most destructive and strongest within the NI ocean,
Caused extensive damage
And shook the entire nation.
Post which the administration geared up
For the rescue and relief operations,
People were evacuated to safe places
Relief funds were aided by PM.
Has all this really benefitted the victims
This saga only they can say,
The hudhud they had in their lives
May or may not heal any day!
Similarly, when there is a Hudhud in our life
When life's blow makes us kneel,
It's a great time to pray... though for some,
life's Hudhud claims the most precious deal.
The victim here goes thru 3 major phases
Impact stage, Reorganizing stage and Recovery stage,
Every person takes time to heal,
No matter what time or age
The recovery period does differ
As per the individuals strength in all,
Some recover fully, Some partially
Some do not recover at all!
Falling is part of life
But doesnt living mean, getting up after the fall,
What is full recovery then?
Forgetting everything and stand tall!
No, It means giving to others what was taken away from the impacted person,
Withstanding a rude shock by overcoming all the negative emotion,
And yet choose to stand taller
in any circumstance or situation.
This is something only the most positive souls can do
Have the courage to stand in the same spot where he lost something precious,
prefer to stand in the same spot,
so that others don't have to go through anything vicious.
This is a lesson of life for all of us
To deal with our own difficult situations,
And rise like a Phoenix into a totally transformed being
With a resolve to contribute to others with a solution.
But doesn't living mean, getting up after the fall, Yes, the challenge in life is to stand up after a fall, courageously and victoriously. In that sense we all are toddlers.
Every setback in life, every difficult situation we encounter, every defeat we face, every major loss we have to suffer...... all these should make us stronger human beings! Fall in life is natural but having the strength and the will to get up and keep going, there lies our victory and gain! HUDHUDs may sweep in our life. During the impact stage we may feel thoroughly defeated, but we have to quickly move on to the recovery stage! A great write Kavya!

A Great write Kavya. The way HUDHUD has impacted many people lives in a quite different way. Actually the storm had effected mostly all in the same way, but how one recover from that cyclones are quite important. Some takes long time to recover, while some quickly recover from the shock. Very true said, Kavya, this is a great lesson which life teach us to withstand all the storms that comes suddenly in our way. Fantastic write. Loved it.
