(1) Highly tragic and our sympathies go out to the families of those who lost their lives or were injured. But the fact remains that we are used to be herded by politicians or other social/ religious groups with vested interests. People watching the burning effigy of Ravana while standing close to railway tracks were not small children. Where was their common sense?

(2) They should have known the consequences of their irresponsible acts. So much so that at times even Supreme Court's verdicts are either bye-passed or grossly ignored. Thanks for sharing this timely write with certain legitimate queries.
