Humanity Day Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Humanity day
Tuesday,30th June 2020

It is not testing ground
to slain the humanity around
and claim to be peace lovers
world needs real healers

let power hungry people advocate war
and go far
in their mad drive to conquer world
and subject innocent to undergo sufferings untold

let each individual take vow
and show the resolve
to their ruling brethren
not to go ahead with the plan of destruction

we are on the brink of extinction
with the induction of
lethal weapons of mass slaughter
the humanity may certainly suffer

the instinct must urge
with the emergence of sincere feelings
that world must have peace breather
for all of us here

no good shall be served
as it has been observed
from the past conflicts
it has only inflicted wounds

let world be reassured
and offered
some solace on this humanity ground
the earth is so beautiful to live in and this joy must be found

why have not realized this before?
and feeling still sore
that millions have lost lives
and still we believe world can be won by waging wars!
