I Am A Destroyer Of Galaxies Poem by Daya Nandan

I Am A Destroyer Of Galaxies

My love for you was once like a luminous spheroid of plasma,
But now i am left like a child with an exacerbation of asthma,
The brightness within my heart could once light up the universe,
I was intoxicated in the happiness that my soul would disperse,

My happiness was shared with everyone and everything on earth,
Love and joy brought by our relationship's birth,
There were so many beautiful moments that we shared,
So many times that i believed we were perfectly paired,

But in time you left me for another love,
Leaving a void in the collapsing surface of my scorching fire above,
The love within my heart collapsed like the dying core of a star,
In a destructive supernova destroying everything near and far,

i metamorphosed into a destroyer of galaxies from the darkness of hate,
With devilish rage and fury within my soul that would never abate,
A supermassive black hole born from the death of a once powerful star,
That now worships darkness and destruction of things near and far,

Even spacetime and light cannot escape my wrath,
I cause death and devastation to all that come close to my event horizon's path,
I have become the embodiment of darkness and dread,
Fueled by the lifeless corpse of my once tender love that is dead,

I have lost my sanity to the abyss of hurt and pain,
I have become a monster that secretly wishes to be slain,
Yet i know i am dying slowly from the bleeding memories of hurt,
Slowly but surely i will be covered 6 feet under dirt,

I doubt there is a remedy for my pain and darkness within,
I doubt i can stop the repugnance from my core radiating to my outer skin,
Let me tell you what drove a good person into the blackness of the abyss,
The power of heartache, betrayal and broken love turned me into this!

True, a broken heart after betrayal and break up can wreak destruction like galactic explosion
