I Am Still Dreaming Poem by Hebert Logerie

I Am Still Dreaming

Rating: 5.0

I am still dreaming for better hebetic days
For my brothers and sisters and for humanity
I am still dreaming to see better plays
Non-violent demonstrations against poverty
Racism, discrimination, unfairness and bigotry.

I am still dreaming of removing the ugly walls
Around us, because we are friends, neighbors
Immigrants, children of God, brothers and sisters
I am still dreaming that we can live in sound harmony
In peace and where love is spread in shopping malls.

I am still dreaming for the total eradication of corruption
The candidate before the election is different afterwards
He or she changed face; he or she went to a transformation
That shocked everyone. I am still dreaming like a lost bear
I am still dream like a bad or false note lost in a symphony.

I am still dreaming and I will never stop or quit dreaming
For a better world, where justice and fairness are reigning
Where the shade or the color of one's skin doesn't matter
Because we have the same blood and breathe the same air
And one day, we will be devoured by the same creature.

I am still dreaming, let me freaking dream, let's dream
Let us dream about great things that are possible
Let us be creative and dream about the impossible
Things that can emend us and the taste of the ice cream
That we aspire to make us friendlier, better, and lovelier.
