I Am Taking A Stand Against Urgency Poem by Raj Dronamraju

I Am Taking A Stand Against Urgency

All I ask is to catch my breath
And for you to disappear for a quarter century
Fade from view like riding out a sudden impulse

Until the impulse is brought to heel
The standard bearer remains unsatisfied by sense and sensibility
The smallest of problems in the microkingdom he constructed

All I ask is to continue driving you crazy by remaining cool as a cucumber
Your ambulance disguise doesn't hide how unimportant your concerns are
Flashing lights, you shaky establishment nerve popping Nephilim

No one will hurry the peace that is tried and true
And developed over time as a lens to spot falsehood urgency
Polished in determination and complete coordination, better to spot effete weakling in a hurry
