I believe in love now
I thought it was a treacherous thing
The fluttering in the breast
The deep sighs & thoughts at dusk
The promises of a diamond ring
It was a Herculean task but its true
I thought they were meant for kings
Until I met you
Now the rose bushes catch my gaze
I see them touch and quickly embrace
Each flower has a mate
It doesn't have to be a real date
They blow blithely in the breeze
With such super collected ease
I dare not now them ever tease
I have been suitably appeased
I see birds fly in pairs
I see them now with fewer airs
Tis exactly as people said
You begin to see things in your head
Life is such a beautiful thing
I don't need no diamond ring
This is enough to make me sing
I thought It was for silly men
Who thought little and were round the bend
It could be conquered I did think
I left my soul by the kitchen sink
Then you came and I know why
All these years I never tried
Tis with you
I'm meant to die
