I can hear the rain
Pouring down.
First heavily,
Then light in sound.
It rustles the trees,
Then hits the ground,
Kissing rooftops
And all around.
At times, it stops,
Then resumes;
Doing its “rain dance, ”
I'd assume.
But what a lovely,
Soothing sound.
To hear the rain
Come pouring down.
