I Choose My Life Poem by Paul Sebastian

I Choose My Life

Rating: 5.0

I choose to live my life
To fashion it as I will
I choose work and strive
To live full as God wills

I choose to live life’s purpose
To have a reason to live and die
I choose to enjoy fruit of my labours
To not be dependent, on others rely

I choose to direct my dreams
To not be directed by others
I choose to live my life for others
To not to be used by others

I choose to hold positive thoughts
To live each day to the fullest
I choose passion for life, I’ve wrought
To not self-pity, become a defeatist

I choose to rise after every fall
To persist until I succeed
I choose to fight, to stand tall
To be proud of what achieved

Say someday: ‘These, I‘ve done! ’
Proud I had run a good run
Fought a good fight and won
All this is what makes a man!
