I Crushed A Mosquitoe Poem by Joseph Oladehinde Ibikunle

I Crushed A Mosquitoe

I crushed a mosquitoe
That just sang across my brow.
As I rendered to it two bashes,
I prayed as its blood splashed,
'May my fate not be like this insect
Who met its untimely death
In a search for livelihood.'
